Twelve people lost their lives on Thursday evening in a horrific road accident at Arimi area along the Njoro–Elburgon Road.
According to Nakuru County Commissioner, Loyford Kibaara, the crash involved a 14-seater matatu and a lorry. The impact left no survivors in the matatu.
Elburgon MCA, Peter Njuguna Mwaura, who visited the scene, confirmed that the bodies were moved to Molo Sub- County Hospital mortuary. He urged the government to urgently rehabilitate the road, citing its deteriorated state as a major contributor to the frequent accidents reported in the area.
Authorities have launched investigations into the incident.
