Twelve police officers are currently being interrogated following the escape of six criminal suspects from the Siaya Law Courts on Monday.
The suspects, Fredrick Wafula, John Ngote, Farid Kimtai, John Okumu, Albert Otieno, and Kevin Otieno, had appeared in court on robbery with violence charges.
They did, however, manage to evade officers and escape while being escorted back to remand.
Ms. Serah Koki, the Siaya County Police Commander, confirmed that all 12 officers on duty at the time of the incident are being questioned.
She also stated that the escaped suspects are still at large, and efforts are underway to locate and apprehend them.
