Police in Bahati constituency, Nakuru County, have arrested a 17-year-old girl in connection with the brutal killing of a three-year-old child on Sunday, June 22.
The tragic incident occurred near the PCEA Shalom Mchanganyiko Church, where the victim’s family had attended a service. According to the child’s mother, Regina Wangui, she had gone to the church with her eight-year-old son and her youngest daughter, the deceased.
Following the service, the family briefly stopped at a medical checkup event organized by the church. It was during this time that Wangui realized her three-year-old had gone missing. Moments later, the toddler was discovered unconscious just a few meters from the church’s main gate.
The child was rushed to Kenlands Hospital, but medics pronounced her dead on arrival.
