A multi-agency security team has recovered nineteen stolen goats following a successful operation conducted on October 9, 2025, in the Nakuprat area of Ngaremara Location, Isiolo County.
According to local authorities, the livestock had been stolen from Akongolo area in Igembe Central Sub-County, Meru County, before being traced to Isiolo through coordinated intelligence efforts.
The recovery was made possible through swift action by officers drawn from various security agencies operating in the region.
The goats were positively identified by their rightful owner and subsequently handed back after verification. Investigations are ongoing to track down and apprehend the suspects believed to be behind the theft.
The National Police Service (NPS) commended the joint operation, reaffirming its commitment to combating livestock theft, banditry, and other illegal activities that threaten peace and security in the northern region.
