2022: Kenya’s Election Fever Raises Concern

Our country appears to be sinking farther and deeper into the abyss of chaos as the days pass.

Politicians are all over each other, forming alliances and breaking up ahead of the 2022 elections.

However, President Uhuru’s silence in the face of his last lap in the 2013-2022 Jubilee reign is indeed deafening.

Although the election countdown has begun, we are still some time away from the election, and the administration has roughly a year left to govern.

As a result, it is unfair to residents when individuals in charge of running the country appear to have given up in favor of personal vendettas and ambitions.

To avoid dragging the country down the path of anarchy that we appear to be on right now, our President must find a way to synchronize his squad for the final lap.

Perhaps a final cabinet shuffle is necessary to allow for objective ministry leadership.

Action against hate speech must be taken as soon as possible; it is distressing to observe how politicians are eager to criticize one another on social media, a weapon that has the potential to promote widespread hate and violence, which we must prevent at all costs.
