Ministry of Defence has rubbished a poster advertising a nationwide recruitment exercise on social media.
In a notice seen by Uzalendo News, Kenya Defence Forces denied plans for a recruitment excercise, urging Kenyans to distance themselves from sending any information.
“Our attention has been drawn to a fake online advertisement on the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) recruitment exercise (KDF Trainership Programme) being circulated on Social Media platforms. We wish to state that the Kenya Defence Forces is not currently engaged in any recruitment exercise.”
The armed forces unit further informed Kenyans that the KDF only advertises recruitments on National television, and print outlets and its official social media handles.
“Kindly be advised that KDF recruitment exercise is advertised through mainstream media (Television, Newspapers & Radio), through the Ministry of Defence website (www.mod.go.ke) and official KDF Social Media platforms (Twitter: @kdfinfo & Facebook: @OfficialKDF)”
