The members of the International Association of Science Parks and Areas of Innovation (IASP) have decided to hold their yearly high-level conference in Nairobi, Kenya in 2024.
IASP announced on their social media channels that the members had chosen Kenya as the host country, with Konza Technopolis serving as the conference’s official host. A significant flagship project of Kenya’s Vision 2030 economic development program is Konza (Konza Technopolis).
When it is finished, Konza will be a world-class city, supported by a booming ICT sector, superior, dependable infrastructure, and business-friendly governance systems. Several players in Kenya’s ICT sector have responded favorably to the news that Kenya will host the conference in 2024.
“We are elated by the news of winning bid to host 2024 World Conference of International Association of Science Parks and Areas of Innovation (IASP). We thank the members for the confidence in Kenya,” Tanui said.
Participants included several IASP board members: IASP President Herbert Chen (TusPark, China); IASP North America President Carol Stewart (Tech Parks Arizona, USA); IASP Latin American President Juan Pablo Suarez (Parque Científico y Tecnológico UTPL, Ecuador) and IASP Asia Pacific President Suwipa Wanasathop (Thailand Science Park, Thailand).
