Police in Mtwapa, Kilifi County, have arrested a 25-year-old man in connection with a violent robbery reported early this morning.
At about 5:00 a.m. Friday, officers from Mtwapa Police Station acted on information from members of the public and mounted an operation in the Kandara area of Mtwapa Township.
During the raid on the suspect’s residence, police recovered a mobile phone believed to have been stolen from the victim, along with 11 large rolls of a substance suspected to be cannabis sativa.
The suspect was taken into custody and is expected to be arraigned in court once investigations are complete.
The National Police Service (NPS) commended residents of Mtwapa for their cooperation and urged the public to continue sharing information on suspicious activities to enhance security in the area.
