Three people have been killed and eight others injured in inter-community clashes over grazing land at Merti on the Isiolo-Wajir border.
The incident whivh happened on Saturday was confirmed by Isiolo Police Commander Hassan Barua who said officers have since been deployed to the area to quell the situation.
According to the police boss, 600 stolen cattle heads have been recovered so far during the operation.
He added that the communities involved in the clash have been at loggerheads for many years.
