A 33-year-old man has been formally charged before the High Court in Kajiado over the death of his wife, Caroline Akinyi Ochieng.
Washington Bill Were Otieno, is accused of unlawfully causing the death of Caroline Akinyi Ochieng during the night of November 17, extending into the morning of November 18, 2025.
Prosecutors say the incident occurred at Pinebrook Premier Villa, located in Kitengela Township within Isinya Sub-County, Kajiado County.
The charge, filed by the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions, was brought under Sections 203 and 204 of the Penal Code.
Otieno denied the allegation when he appeared in court.
The prosecution indicated that it has lined up eleven witnesses whose testimony will form the basis of its case as the trial progresses.
The court scheduled the matter for mention on February 18, 2026, when directions on hearing dates will be issued as the case moves forward.
