35 Witnesses To Testify At Jeff Mwathi’s Public Inquest

A Nairobi court has ordered an inquest into the death of Jeff Mwathi.

The late Mwathi tragically passed away in February at the residence of Mugithi musician DJ Faxto.

The Office of the Directorate of Public Prosecutions has informed Court that it will stage 35 witnesses on August 10,2023.

Jeff Mwathi’s family Lawyers led by Danstan Omari pleaded with Kenyans who know what transpired, to share the information with the lawyers.

“We are asking anybody who might be having information as to the death of Jeff to inform us, we will subject his information to witness protection,” said the Lawyer.

The mother to the deceased who was also present in Court expressed trust and hope that his son will one day get justice.

When the Inquest file was placed in court today for the first time, the trial Court was requested to consider shifting to a larger court room when the case will come for hearing since the case will attract large number of people from all walks of life who too are crying for the justice of the deceased.

According to the DCI, Jeff Mwathi reportedly took his life by jumping from the 10th floor of Dj Fatxo’s apartment in Roysambu.

However, the young man’s family still insist that Jeff Mwathi was murdered at Fatxo’s House and will still fight for justice.
