38 Form Four students of Kabarnet Boys High School are reported to have tested positive for Coronavirus. – By Gerald Gekara
According to the Baringo County Commissioner Henry Wafula, the students were tested in a random excercise conducted by the county health officials.
The students have been put into a 14 day quarrantine facility where they will be monitored for any changes.
Therecent spike in coronavirus cases has seen a sharp increase in cases within learning institutions.
However, despite the dire situation, President Uhuru Kenyatta has directed the Ministry of Education to proceed with the calendar, saying that Kenya needs to find a way to co-exist with the new normal.
At the moment, Kenya’s total caseload rose to 69,273, with the death toll now standing at 1,249.
