A middle-aged man risks death sentence or life imprisonment if convicted of a robbery with violence case he has been charged with before a Nairobi Court.
Mofat Gicheru Kamau alias Eden, the suspect was arraigned today before Milimani Law Courts where the prosecution alleged that August 1, 2024, in Nairobi jointly with others robbed Zhonglie USD 20,000 and in the process threatened to use actual violence against the said Zhonglie.
In an alternative charge he was said to have been arrested in possession of USD 1500 suspected to have been stolen or unlawfully stolen.
Appearing before Chief Magistrate Lucas Onyina at Milimani Law Courts, the accused denied the charges and was detained until Friday when the court will issue a ruling on his bail and bond release.
