A police officer was stabbed to death on Saturday morning following a violent altercation in the parking lot of the Blackwood Bar and Restaurant in Embakasi, Nairobi County.
According to a police report that the dispute began at daybreak while the institution was hosting Kalenjin Night.
The bar’s manager then issued a distress call, and when police came, they discovered that a man, later identified as a fellow cop, had been killed.
“Officers rushed to the scene and indeed found one male adult lying dead on the pool of blood with a deep cut on the right side of the neck at the parking yard. Upon searching, they noticed that the deceased is a male adult Administration Police officer attached to Jogoo House,” read the report.
The body of the deceased has since been transferred to the Mama Lucy Hospital mortuary awaiting post-mortem.
