Six school children have been hit and killed on the spot by a Probox while walking to school at Kyoani area in Ikutha.
Friday morning, the vehicle was headed towards Kitui from Kibwezi when it lost control and hit the youngsters who were also heading in that direction.
According to Ikutha Sub-County Police Commander, Robert Mutiso the children died on the spot.
The six children, 5 girls and 1 boy, were from Kyoani Primary and Kyoani Secondary.
Mutiso said that their bodies have been moved to Mutomo Funeral Home and the driver arrested.
