POPE FRANCIS ADVICES CATHOLICS TO CHOOSE THE ‘LESSER EVIL’ OPTION BETWEEN TRUMP AND HARRIS.

Pope Francis has urged catholic voters in the US to carefully consider their choices in the upcoming presidential elections, calling both major candidates “against life” and advising them to select the “lesser evil when cating their votes.

“Both are against life, be it the one who kicks out migrants, or be it the one who kills babies, ″ the Pope said

The pontiff’s rare political commentary came during a press conference as he concluded a 12-day tour of Southeast Asia.

Without naming names, Pope Francis criticized the stance of both Donald Trump and Kamala Harris, Pointing to immigration and abortion as critical issues. He condemned the rejection of migrants, which appeared to be a critique of Trump’s policies, describing it as a “grave sin “On the other hand, he compared Harris’s support for abortion rights to an ‘assassination”

While Francis admitted that he is not American and will not vote, he urged US Catholics to make their opinions heard at the polls, stressing that not voting was a major mistake.

The Pope’s statements reflect his prior criticisms of Trump’s immigration policies during the 2016 presidential campaign, when he questioned if such attitudes were compatible with Christianity. Trump, who continues to urge for greater immigration enforcement, recently reiterated his promise to deport millions of immigrants if reelected. Meanwhile, Harris has positioned herself as a staunch supporter of abortion rights following the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade.
