The DCI has arraigned a woman running a daycare in Wangige Market, Kiambu County seeking 21 days detention order against her over alleged sexual exploition against minors in the day care.
The DCI told Court that preliminary investigations revealed that Teresia Wambui Kihagi runs a daycare that harbors around 10 minors.
The DCI told Court that the said minors are believed to be victims of sexual exploitation by the respondent.
The Court further heard that at the point of arrest, Teresia Wambui attempted to crush her phone in an effort to destroy the evidence.
According to the miscellaneous application, “Teresia is alleged to have been engaging the minors who are aged between two and four years in sexual activities, and touching their genitals while recording of them while on the act her day care,”
Investigating officer Nicodemus Musembi said that a probe will be conducted on her phone numbers to establish the recipients of the videos.
