A middle-aged woman will spend her weekend in police cells after being accused of fraudulently obtaining money from her client pretending, she would help him buy a car.
The suspected Woman, Susan Gathoni Karuthi covering her face in a hoodie probably to conceal her identity before the Court was today arraigned in Court to answer fraud charges.
According to the charge sheet, Susan on diverse dates between December 7, 2023, and August 16, 2024, with intent to defraud obtained Ksh 447,000 from Delvis Muoki Mutua by falsely pretending she was in a position of selling him a car.
Appearing before Magistrate Gilbert Shikwe in Milimani Law Courts, Nairobi, the accused woman denied the charges and was released on Ksh 1 million bond with an alternative cash bail of Ksh 200,000.
The case will proceed on December 4, 2024.
