The Kajiado Law court has sentenced a man to life imprisonment after being found guilty of defiling a 9-year-old child.
The trial Magistrate, Principal magistrate Vicky Kachuodho ruled that the prosecution had proved their case against Dominic Mania beyond reasonable doubt.
Court further noted that the testimony of the witnesses was truthful, reliable, consistent, and fully corroborated.
Upon evaluating the evidence tabled in Court by the prosecution, the defence rebuttal evidence and the pre-sentence report by the probation department, the Court ruled that life sentence was the most appropriate sentence to serve as a deterrent factor to other potential offenders.
The convict defiled the minor in February 2022.
