Kenyans Join US Protests Against Trump’s Mass Deportation Policies

Kenyans joined thousands of immigrants in the United States to protest President Donald Trump’s sweeping immigration policies, including the mass deportation of undocumented residents.

In videos shared online, a Kenyan protest leader draped in the national flag was seen leading chants of “Power to the people!” as a diverse group of demonstrators marched through Denver City streets.

Addressing the crowd from a podium, the protest leader urged attendees to raise their voices.

“Say it loud enough so that Trump, sitting in the White House, starts wondering what’s happening,” he declared, rallying support for those affected by the controversial policies.

Waving flags from their countries of origin, including Mexico, demonstrators carried placards with messages like “Resist Trump’s Nightmare.”

Trump’s mass deportation pledge, central to his 2024 campaign, has left approximately 30,000 undocumented Kenyans in the US in a state of uncertainty.

On his first day in office, Trump signed 10 immigration-related executive orders, triggering fears of a surge in deportations.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has already identified 1,282 Kenyans among the 1.4 million non-citizens targeted for removal.

Protesters vowed to continue resisting what they described as “inhumane” policies.
