A mother and her friend have been arrested following the tragic death of a four-year-old boy. Melvin Owuor, the boy’s mother, took his lifeless body to Mama Lucy Hospital mortuary on December 9, 2024, along with her friend.
They were requested to file a police report as advised by the mortuary staff. However, they left never to return.
What raised eyebrows was that both women switched off their phones soon after, leading the mortician to report the matter to Mowlem police station. This prompted detectives from Dandora and Nairobi area to investigate.
At first, Melvin claimed that her son died in his sleep. But detectives later discovered that the child had died from injuries allegedly caused by his mother after the boy soiled himself.
The shocking revelation that Melvin is the boy’s biological mother has left many shaken.
The suspect is now in police custody as investigations continue to uncover the full story.
