A CT Scan Machine At Kericho Hospital Destroyed In A Friday Evening Fire

    On Friday evening, a fire broke out at the Kericho County Referral Hospital in a suspected battery fault destroying a CT Scan machine.

    The cost of the damage has yet to be determined.

    Dr. George Owiti, officer in charge of Radiology and Imaging at Kericho County Referral Hospital, confirmed the incident, stating that smoke was seen emanating from the CT Scan room, prompting officers to turn off the power and take the necessary precautions.

    He said one patient who was at the unit was evacuated and no one was hurt during the incident.

    Kericho County and Finlay’s fire engines arrived on time to contain the situation.
