President William Ruto is among the several leaders attending the funeral of former Baringo Senator William Cheptumo.
Musalia Mudavadi, Prime Cabinet Secretary, is among the Cabinet Secretaries present.
The service is taking place at Arap Moi Secondary School in Bartabwa, Baringo County.
A police helicopter was used to transport the casket containing Cheptumo’s remains from Nairobi to the home.
Large screens have been installed outside the Baringo County Assembly, Kabarnet Market, and Kabartonjo Centre for residents to watch the proceedings.
Cheptumo died on February 15, 2025, at the age of 57, while receiving treatment at a hospital in Nairobi.
