A Journalist from Pure Africa Radio was today arraigned in court facing charges of preparation to commit a felony contrary to section 308 of the Penal Code.
It is alleged that Hezron Marwa Mangenya, was found at Machakos Country Bus station in possession of an imitation of a firearm.
The prosecution alleges that on March 6, 2025 in possession of the said imitation firearm in circumstances that indicated he was armed to commit robbery.
In a second count, Hezron is accused to have been allegedly found in possession of an imitation plastic pistol.
Appearing before Chief Magistrate Lucas Onyina, the accused journalist denied the charges and was released on a bond of Ksh 100,000 with an alternative cash bail of Ksh 50,000.
