Fresh off their Mozzart Bet Cup exit, the Glamour Boys responded with intent and flair. A blunder by Talanta goalkeeper Mustafa Oduor gifted Austin Odongo the opener in the 23rd minute, and ten minutes later, Shabana were 2-0 up after Brian Michira calmly slotted home a penalty.
Talanta managed a lifeline just before halftime through Cyprian Mangeni, but Odongo’s second of the afternoon shortly after the break put Shabana firmly back in control. Despite Talanta’s second goal igniting a glimmer of hope, Michira struck again in the 76th minute to secure all three points.
The win lifts Shabana to fourth on the table with 43 points, while Talanta remain in trouble with just 26 points.
