The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has announced the arrest of two more suspects linked to the tragic shooting of Hon. Charles Ong’ondo Were, a development that marks a significant breakthrough in the ongoing investigation.

In a press release issued today, the National Police Service confirmed the arrests of Edwin Oduor Odhiambo, also known by the aliases Abdul Rashid, and Dennis Sewe Munyasi. The arrests follow weeks of intensive investigations into the brutal killing of the Member of Parliament.

Upon apprehension, the suspects reportedly led detectives to a residence belonging to Edwin Odhiambo. At the location, authorities recovered two firearms—a Retay Falcon and a Sarsilmaz pistol—alongside nine rounds of 9 mm calibre ammunition. Additionally, a bag and a pair of shoes believed to match items worn by one of the suspects during the attack were also retrieved from the scene. These pieces of evidence have been submitted to forensic experts for further examination.
