Officers from the National Police Service on May 30, 2025, arrested two high-profile criminals believed to be behind a string of robberies in Embankasi and Kikuyu.
The suspects, Kelvin Kasyoki Kyalo and Wilson Ngethe Waweru, were cornered at their Thogoto hideout inside a Mazda CX-5, whose registration had been tampered with—from KDC 077P to KDD 677P—in a bid to dodge surveillance.
A search of the vehicle yielded master keys for car locks, crude housebreaking weapons, number plate stickers, and other paraphernalia linked to criminal activity.
Police say the suspects are currently in custody and are cooperating with ongoing investigations.
“We commend the public for sharing intelligence that led to the arrests,” said a police spokesperson.
“This is part of our continued resolve to serve and protect.”
