Opal Suchata Chuangsri of Thailand was crowned Miss World 2025 on Saturday in Hyderabad, India, where the prestigious international pageant was held for the second consecutive year.
Chuangsri emerged victorious from a competitive field of 108 contestants, showcasing grace and talent to clinch the coveted crown.
She received the crown from last year’s winner, Krystyna Pyszková. Hasset Dereje Admassu of Ethiopia finished as the first runner-up in the contest.
The 72nd edition of Miss World was hosted by Miss World 2016, Stephanie del Valle, alongside Indian presenter Sachiin Kumbhar. India’s own Nandini Gupta made a strong showing, reaching the final 20 before exiting the competition.
India has a rich history in the Miss World pageant, with six Indian women having won the title over the years: Reita Faria (1966), Aishwarya Rai (1994), Diana Hayden (1997), Yukta Mookhey (1999), Priyanka Chopra (2000), and Manushi Chillar (2017).
Chuangsri’s win adds another chapter to Thailand’s growing presence on the global beauty stage, as she takes on the role of Miss World for the coming year.
