A devastating fire claimed the lives of two young children in Gathunuka village, Nyeri County, on Friday, sending shockwaves through the local community.
The victims, aged 3 and 6, were reportedly alone in their home when the blaze broke out. According to local reports, their parent had left for work earlier in the day and returned to find the house engulfed in flames.
Emergency responders rushed to the scene but were unable to save the children, as the fire had already consumed most of the structure. The charred remains of the house stood as a grim reminder of the tragedy that unfolded.
