Dr. Sing’Oei lauded the initiative as a timely and valuable contribution to Kenya’s higher education and national development priorities.

He emphasized the government’s commitment to leveraging international partnerships to build local capacity and boost innovation-driven growth.

“The Ministry is pleased to explore deeper collaboration with SUNY institutions, especially in areas that align with Kenya’s Vision 2030 and our aspiration to become a knowledge-based economy,” said Dr. Sing’Oei.

The courtesy call also featured Ambassador Patrick S. Wamoto, Acting Director General of the Foreign Service Academy, and Ambassador Diana Kiambuthi, Acting Director General for Cultural Diplomacy, who both expressed optimism about the long-term impact of the partnership.

Prof. Ramasubramanian reaffirmed SUNY’s dedication to supporting academic exchange and capacity building across the continent, highlighting Kenya’s strategic role as a regional hub for innovation and education.
