President Ruto Donates Ksh 20 Million to Machakos Church

President William Ruto on Sunday announced a personal donation of Ksh 20 million towards the construction of a Ksh 200 million sanctuary at AIC Bomani in Machakos County.

Speaking during a church service at the site, the president reiterated his commitment to supporting the Christian faith through personal contributions and dismissed criticism surrounding his recent religious spending.

“I will continue to build the Church of Christ with the strength and ability God has given me,” Ruto said.

The president also gifted a brand new SUV to the newly appointed AIC Bishop Benjamin Kalanzo, in what he described as a show of support for the bishop’s new spiritual mission.

Nonetheless, Ruto has consistently defended his actions, framing them as part of his personal devotion and a broader plan to anchor Kenya’s leadership in Christian values.

The AIC Bomani church project is expected to be one of the largest sanctuaries in the region, with plans including a worship hall, administrative block, and training facilities.
