Kenya’s Prof. Susan Mbugua Named World Veterinary Association’s Veterinarian of the Year

Prof. Susan W. Mbugua has been named the World Veterinary Association’s Veterinarian of the Year, a global honor recognizing her exceptional contributions to animal health, veterinary education, and research.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development congratulated Prof. Mbugua on the prestigious accolade, describing it as a well-deserved testament to her decades of dedication, leadership, and excellence in the veterinary profession.

Prof. Mbugua has played a pivotal role in advancing veterinary standards in Kenya and across Africa, mentoring emerging professionals and promoting research-based solutions to animal and public health challenges.
