Kenya and Egypt have renewed their shared commitment to strengthening cooperation in key areas that foster peace, stability, and economic development across Africa.

Speaking during the celebration of Egypt’s National Day at the Ambassador’s residence in Nairobi, Kenya’s Cabinet Secretary for Foreign and Diaspora Affairs, Musalia Mudavadi, highlighted the longstanding ties between the two nations. He emphasized the strategic significance of the Kenya-Egypt relationship, which continues to grow across sectors such as trade, investment, education, research, and technology.

“These agreements continue to expand opportunities in trade, investment, education, research, technology, and more, opening doors for both nations to thrive and for our peoples to benefit from closer collaboration,” said Mudavadi.

The CS referenced the recent signing of the Kenya-Egypt Joint Declaration for a Strategic and Comprehensive Partnership between President William Ruto and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, terming it a milestone in deepening bilateral ties.

Mudavadi also took the opportunity to thank the outgoing Egyptian Ambassador to Kenya, Wael Nasreldin Attiya, for his dedicated service and efforts in enhancing diplomatic relations between the two countries as he concludes his tour of duty.

With the reaffirmed strategic partnership, both nations aim to reinforce their influence in regional peacebuilding efforts and accelerate sustainable development through closer diplomatic and economic collaboration.
