President Ruto Urges Religious Sector to Support National Transformation Efforts

President William Ruto has called for greater involvement of religious institutions in tackling national challenges, emphasizing that building a prosperous and equitable Kenya requires a united, whole-of-society approach.

In a statement shared on X, President Ruto highlighted the government’s ongoing collaboration with faith-based organizations to strengthen the country’s moral and social fabric, as well as improve the delivery of universal health coverage and quality education.

“The transformation of our nation requires a whole-of-society approach,” President Ruto said. “Every sector, including religious institutions, has a vital role to play in addressing the challenges in our country.”

The Head of State made the remarks after meeting with officials from the Anglican Diocese of Nairobi, led by Bishop Jonathan Kabiru, at State House Nairobi. Discussions focused on expanding partnerships to support national development priorities, particularly in health and education.

The meeting is part of broader efforts by the Kenya Kwanza administration to deepen engagement with non-state actors in its quest for social justice, economic empowerment, and sustainable development.
