Machakos Governor Wavinya Ndeti Hands Over Land for New FKF Technical Centre

Machakos Governor Wavinya Ndeti, EGH, has taken a significant step toward boosting football development in the county by handing over a title deed to the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) for land at the New City site.

The parcel will host a proposed FKF Technical Centre, which is expected to become a hub for nurturing talent and elevating the standards of the game. The facility will cater to players, coaches, referees, and the wider football community, providing modern infrastructure to support training, competitions, and skill development.

During a courtesy call by FKF President Hussein Mohammed, Governor Ndeti highlighted that the project will create new opportunities for youth to hone their abilities, compete at higher levels, and represent Machakos County with pride both nationally and internationally.

The development is seen as a major step towards making the county a centre for football excellence, positioning Machakos as a key contributor to Kenya’s sporting success. The initiative also aligns with the county’s broader youth empowerment agenda, using sports as a platform for career growth, community engagement, and positive social impact.
