Police in Maua have intercepted a motorcycle transporting 80 litres of illicit liquor in Igembe South Sub-County.
The operation, carried out yesterday by officers from Maua Police Station during a patrol at Antubochiuo Location, led to the discovery of four jerricans filled with the illicit brew known as Naisu.

According to police, the rider managed to escape, abandoning the motorcycle and the cargo. The motorbike was subsequently impounded, and the alcohol secured as evidence.
In a statement, the National Police Service (NPS) reiterated its commitment to intensifying the crackdown on illicit brews and dangerous substances, noting that such operations are key to safeguarding public health and community safety.
