KeNHA Issues Safety Alert Over Geological Risk Near Eveready Roundabout

By Michelle Ndaga

The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) has issued a safety advisory to motorists using the A8 Road near the Eveready roundabout, cautioning them to drive carefully due to geological concerns affecting the road shoulder.

The Authority revealed that earlier geological activities had undermined the road’s shoulder, raising the risk of recurrence, especially during the ongoing rainy season. As a precaution, KeNHA, in collaboration with other government agencies, is closely monitoring the situation and has commissioned geologists to conduct a detailed investigation to determine long-term solutions.

In the meantime, motorists are urged to strictly adhere to traffic signs and regulations placed in the area to safeguard all road users.

KeNHA reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring the safety and reliability of the country’s road infrastructure, noting that necessary measures will be taken once the investigations are complete.
