Naivas Supermarket Appoints Andreas von Paleske as New CEO

Naivas Supermarkets has appointed Andreas von Paleske as its new Chief Executive Officer, succeeding founding CEO David Kimani, who will transition into a new role effective next month.

Andreas, who currently serves as the retailer’s Chief of Strategy, joined Naivas eight years ago and has been instrumental in shaping the company’s growth strategy and expansion.

In a statement, Naivas said Kimani will continue to serve the retailer in his new capacity.

Naivas International Chairman Arnaud Lagesse praised Kimani’s leadership and expressed confidence in Andreas’ ability to steer the company’s next phase of growth.

“David’s role in laying the foundations of one of Kenya’s corporate success stories is truly commendable, and with Andreas we have the right leader to take the business to even greater heights. Andreas brings deep industry experience and a strong understanding of Naivas’ culture and values. His appointment ensures continuity and positions the company for its next phase of growth,” said Lagesse.

Last week, Naivas opened its 110th branch at West Bay Mall in Redhill, targeting the growing residential communities of Gachie, Redhill, and surrounding areas.

The new outlet will stock fresh produce, groceries, household essentials, and lifestyle products—marking another step in the retailer’s ongoing national expansion.
