NYOTA program issues mandatory directive to beneficiaries in 25 counties

The National Youth Opportunities Towards Advancement (NYOTA) Project has announced the schedule for the NYOTA Business Development Skills (BDS) training. 

In an notice on Thursday, November 13, the project said the training will be conducted across 25 counties from November 14 to 17.

According to the NYOTA Project, those chosen to take part in the program will receive official notifications indicating their specific venues for training.

“NYOTA Business Development Skills (BDS) Training will be commencing in the following counties. Those selected will receive official SMS notifications indicating the venue of their training,” the notice read.

NYOTA Project further emphasized that attending the scheduled training is a compulsory requirement for all selected individuals before they can qualify for financial support.

“Attendance of the BDS training is mandatory for all selected beneficiaries to qualify for the next step; which is receiving business capital support under the NYOTA Project,” the notice added.

In the Lower Eastern region, the training will take place in Kitui, Machakos, and Makueni counties.

In the North Rift region, the counties set to host the sessions include Uasin Gishu, Trans Nzoia, West Pokot, Turkana, Baringo, and Laikipia.

The Upper Eastern region will cover Meru, Tharaka Nithi, Embu, and Isiolo counties. In the South Rift and Maa region, the training will be held in Nakuru, Narok, Kajiado, and Nandi counties.

Finally, in the Nyanza and South Rift region, the program will reach Siaya, Kisumu, Homa Bay, Migori, Kisii, Nyamira, Kericho, and Bomet counties.
