The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has announced a massive recruitment drive for 9,159 teachers to be employed on permanent and pensionable terms. The vacancies are distributed as follows:
- 7,065Â posts for Primary Schools
- 12Â posts for Junior Schools
- 2,082Â posts for Secondary Schools
Application Details:
- Deadline:Â December 8, 2025.
- Method:Â Applications must be submitted online via the TSC website (
tsc.go.ke under ‘Careers’) or the Teachers Online portal (teachersonline.tsc.go.ke). Manual applications will not be accepted.
Qualifications:
- Must be a Kenyan citizen registered with the TSC.
- Primary School:Â Minimum of a P1 certificate.
- Junior & Secondary School:Â Minimum of a Diploma in Education.
Key Guidelines:
- The recruitment is free of charge. The TSC has warned applicants against fraudsters.
- Applicants must fill out only one application form; duplicate forms will lead to disqualification.
- Preference will be given to applicants who have never been employed by the TSC.
- Successful candidates can be posted to any part of the country.
Shortlisted candidates will be required to present original academic and professional certificates for verification. The merit list from this exercise will be used for any subsequent recruitment within the 2025/2026 financial year.
