Despite a growing backlash within his own party, President Donald Trump on Sunday doubled down on his immigration agenda, blaming Democratic officials for the “chaos” that led to a fatal shooting by a federal immigration officer in Minneapolis.
The incident, which claimed the lives of two American citizens, has prompted unease among some Republicans and ignited a national debate over Trump’s aggressive crackdown.

Yet the president, in lengthy social media posts, accused Democrats of encouraging obstruction and urged Minnesota officials to cooperate with federal agents.
His response reinforced his pledge to execute the largest deportation program in U.S. history, even as calls mount within the GOP for a deeper investigation into his administration’s tactics.
