Arsenal Cruise to Win at Leeds With Madueke and Gyokores Goals Ending Arsenal Winning Drought.

Arsenal ended their three-game Premier League winless run on Saturday afternoon, beating Leeds United 4-0 at Elland Road.

Arsenal started the game strongly, but it was the hosts who registered the first attempt, with captain Ethan Ampadu firing over the bar.

Despite dominating proceedings, Arsenal’s first attempt came in the 15th minute, when Martin Zubimendi hit a shot straight at Karl Darlow.

The Spaniard opened the scoring on 27 minutes, heading Noni Madueke’s pinpoint cross into the net, giving the visitors a 1-0 lead.

It was Madueke’s first league assist in 412 days and his first-ever for Arsenal.

The English forward played a key role in Arsenal’s second goal, as Darlow punched his in-swinging corner into his own net, doubling the Gunners’ lead.

Leeds started the second half on the front foot, with Pascal Struijk forcing David Raya to make his first save from a corner.

Arsenal fashioned a chance at the other end, as Leandro Trossard put Viktor Gyokeres through, but Joe Rodon’s timely block denied him a shot on goal.

The Swede was not going to be denied in the 69th minute, guiding Gabriel Martinelli’s pass home, ending his six-game Premier League goal drought.

Gabriel Jesus came close to adding to Arsenal’s advantage, heading from close range, only for Darlow to turn his effort behind.

Five minutes from time, the Brazilian finally got on the scoresheet, outmuscling Struijk before picking out the bottom corner to make it 4-0.

Mikel Arteta’s side have now increased their lead at the top of the standings to seven points, with closest challengers Aston Villa and Manchester City yet to play.
