A Russian-owned drone attacked a bus carrying mine workers in the east-central Dnipropetrovsk region.
Yesterday’s attack killed 12 people on the bus near Ternivka, a town 65 kilometers (40 miles) from the war zone, according to local police.
Ukraine’s DTEK energy company said those killed were employees of the company, who had finished their shift.
The attack occurred at a time when there had been an agreement to reduce Russian attacks on Ukraine.
US President Donald Trump had declared that the war was almost over, adding that Russian President Putin had agreed to a ceasefire due to the current cold weather.
Early Sunday, a drone attacked a maternity hospital in the Zaporizhzhia region, injuring seven women who were receiving treatment.
