A video of a Nigerian-born doctor, Stella Immanuel who claimed she treated coronavirus using hydroxychloroquine, zinc, and Zithromax, has been deleted.
The video that went viral on social media, quoted the doctor saying she had successfully treated 350 people within the United States.
“I’m here because I even have personally treated over 350 patients with COVID,” Immanuel said in video that has since gone viral on Facebook.
“Patients that have diabetes, patients that have a high blood pressure, patients that have asthma, old people… I put them on hydroxychloroquine, I put them on zinc, I put them on Zithromax, and they’re all well.”
She said she put herself, her staff and other doctors she knew on hydroxychloroquine for prevention of COVID-19.
She accused big pharmaceutical companies of conspiring against the utilization of the hydroxychloroquine to COVID-19.
Medical associations including the World Health Organisation urged caution in handling ‘unproven remedies’.
Earlier, The Food and Drug Administration an agency of the US Department of Health and Human Services cautioned against using hydroxychloroquine or chloroquine to treat COVID-19 patients.
However, she downplayed the report, saying that alot of patients are dying from the virus and need urgent help.
“All of you doctors that are expecting data, if six months down the road you really acknowledged that this data shows that this medication works, how about your patients that have died?” she said.
