Police officers in Ithanga/Kakuzi Sub-County have arrested a suspect and recovered 103 stolen pineapples during a patrol operation.

The officers, drawn from the Critical Infrastructure Protection Unit (CIPU) and working in collaboration with private security, intercepted the suspect within Field 12 at Del Monte Farm.

Authorities say the recovered produce is believed to have been stolen from the farm, with the suspect apprehended on the spot.

He was taken into police custody and is expected to be arraigned in court as investigations continue.
