SKL Tops NSE Gainers as Trading Activity Led by Equity and Safaricom

SKL emerged as the top gainer at the Nairobi Securities Exchange, rising 7.97% to close at Ksh 8.94, leading a session that saw strong upward movement across select counters.

Kenya Airways (KQ) followed with a 5.85% gain to Ksh 6.88, while Eaagads (EGAD) advanced 4.67% to Ksh 34.75. Express Kenya (XPRS) and Nation Media Group (NMG) also posted gains of 3.86% and 3.66% respectively.

On the losing end, Longhorn Kenya (LKL) declined 3.51% to Ksh 3.02, with CIC Insurance Group (CIC) dropping 3.37% to Ksh 4.30. Unga Group (UNGA), Sasini (SASN), and Britam (BRIT) also recorded losses ranging between 1.61% and 2.95%.

Market activity was led by Equity Group (EQTY), which recorded the highest trading volume at 3,653,393 shares. Safaricom (SCOM) followed with 2,042,823 shares, while KenGen (KEGN) traded 1,527,447 shares.

I&M Holdings (IMH) posted a volume of 1,183,436 shares, with Kenya Airways also featuring among the most actively traded counters at 1,015,743 shares.

The session reflected sustained investor interest in key blue-chip stocks alongside notable movements in mid-tier counters.
