The Social Health Authority (SHA) has shortlisted seven candidates for the position of Assistant Director, Corporate Communication, according to a public notice issued by Chairperson Dr Abdi Mohamed.
The notice, published pursuant to Section 17 and Schedule I of the Social Health Insurance Act, 2023, outlines the candidates selected for interviews following the closure of applications on April 21, 2026.
According to the notice, the position, referenced as SHA/247/2025 and graded SHA 4, attracted a total of 100 applicants competing for one vacancy. Out of the applicants, only seven were shortlisted for interviews.
The shortlisted candidates are Seroney Faith, Fridah Jerotich Tallam, Kenneth Kibet, Jane Muthoki Mason, Brenda Kaaria, Joan Wetumi Njaro and Winfred Nduku Nthiani.
The interviews are scheduled to take place on June 3, 2026, at the SHA Headquarters boardroom on the 10th floor. The sessions will begin at 9am and run through to 12.30pm.
According to the schedule released by the authority, Seroney Faith will be the first candidate to appear before the interview panel at 9am, followed by Fridah Jerotich Tallam at 9:30am Kenneth Kibet is scheduled for 10am, while Jane Muthoki Mason will appear at 10:30am.
Brenda Kaaria’s interview is slated for 11:30am, Joan Wetumi Njaro at noon and Winfred Nduku Nthiani at 12:30pm.
The notice further directs shortlisted applicants to report to the venue at least 30 minutes before their scheduled interview time.
Candidates have also been instructed to carry original copies of several documents, including their national identity cards, academic and professional certificates, transcripts, and clearance certificates from key government institutions.
Among the mandatory clearance documents listed are certificates from the Higher Education Loans Board (HELB), the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA), a registered Credit Reference Bureau (CRB), the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) and the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC).
Applicants with degrees obtained from foreign universities have additionally been asked to present recognition and equation certificates from the Commission for University Education (CUE).
SHA also invited members of the public to submit any adverse information relating to the shortlisted candidates before June 2, 2026, at 5.00 pm. Such information is to be sent to the Chairperson through the authority’s official recruitment email.
The recruitment process comes at a time when SHA continues to strengthen its operations and public communication structures following the transition from the defunct National Health Insurance Fund (NHIF) to the new healthcare financing system under the Social Health Insurance framework.
