Daniel Ndambuki opens up about how he has made financial losses after investing a great deal in the Churchill show. In an interview he asserted that just like any other business his has also been affected by the pandemic
“Corona ilinimaliza kabisa. We had invested some amount of money in the production of the show. Now we can’t use the gear to host 200 people at an even anymore.
“it takes us back to where we began but we remain positive we hope the government will fully re open the country , people want to laugh and be happy again and you cannot do that behind a mask . “ said Churchill .
He also added that despite the challenges just like any other artist he has shifted his content online and is also making sure he produces unique content for his followers. He is also considering to acquire permits to host smaller shows with a specific number of people.
He is also considering setting up his own TV station just like Jalango, Andrew Kibe. He is also very hopeful that there is a lot of content and also the creators of the content
He has recently been blamed for the depression in some of the few comedians that worked with him
“I am happy for those who have made it like Eric, Jessy and many others. I am like their parent and sometimes I understand that God gave me the responsibility to be part of those running the comedy industry.
Jalango disclosed that Churchill sacrifices a lot to host comedians not mentioning the amount of money he spends in the event itself. Churchill could spend 5 million on sourcing tents, chairs only to make a profit of 200k.
“People see a packed audience and think he has made a lot of money for him to meet his operational cost it would require at least 5000 people to pay 1000 for a ticket each. And in most events almost half the crowd attends the show for free. Churchill opted for a job at classic 105 to boost his income
