Former Majority Whip Senator Irungu Kang’ata has today made his debut under the hustler camp in Kiambaa and Kabete Constituencies, Kiambu County. – By Gerald Gekara.
The tough-speaking Murang’a senator sealed his fate after drafting a letter to President Uhuru Kenyatta, predicting a loud fall for the BBI Campaign in Central Kenya.
As a result of his action, the Jubilee parliamentary group meeting made a decision to eject the leader over gross misconduct.
In the run up to his ouster, leaders allied to the Deputy President William Ruto milled around Senator Kang’ata vowing to protect him from any action by the Jubilee group.
The Deputy President continued his hustler campaign in central Kenya, touring satellite towns along the Nairobi Western bypass.
Ruto continued to preach on behalf of the hustler, saying the bottom up approach is the solution to poverty.
“We are dedicated at working together and ensuring that we engage the forward gear to enterprise in our country. The new economic path will usher in the empowerment of most of the ordinary Kenyans struggling to make ends meet and facilitate their ascending the ladder.”
