Jose Mourinho tugged on the heartstrings of Chelsea supporters with his most recent upload to Instagram.
The former Blues boss posted a picture of his sides Premier League winnings celebrations in 2006, surrounded by several club legends.
Here’s how Chelsea fans reacted to Mourinho’s treasured throwback on Twitter:
That 2005/06 season was another fine addition to Mourinho’s remarkable legacy with Chelsea.
This was the second of three league titles the Portuguese coach would win during his two spells at Stamford Bridge.
His squad included Damien Duff, John Terry and Arjen Robben (all pictured in the photo), alongside Petr Cech, Claude Makelele, Frank Lampard, Ricardo Carvalho, Joe Cole and Didier Drogba among others.
Chelsea followers will never forget what Mourinho did for the club and will be saddened to see how things have turned out for him recently.
A sour time with Tottenham Hotspur ended rather abruptly earlier this month, with Daniel Levy removing the 58-year-old just 17 months after hiring him.
Before that, a move to Manchester United also finished in rather uncomfortable circumstances. Â
It shouldn’t be too long before he is back in work, but many fear his days at elite level management are behind him.
At least Mourinho can always fondly look back on his days with Chelsea, a reminder he remains as one of the finest managers to rule the dugout.
